Dr. Robert Moore is both a Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselor in Tennessee with Health Service Provider (HSP) Distinction and an endorsement in School Psychology. He holds a Doctorate (Ed.D) in Human Development Counseling from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University and a Doctorate in Psychology (Ph.D.) from Northcentral University. He also holds a Masters degree in General and Experimental Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University and a Masters degree in Counseling from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary. He possesses over thirty years of licensed practice experience.
Dr. Moore is a Certified Forensic Evaluator in Competency and Sanity in Tennessee (DMHSAS). He is the Director of Counseling Training at Argosy University - Nashville and is also faculty at Liberty University. He is the Past President of the Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselors Association.
Dr. Moore has experience working within the Department of Corrections with both juvenile and adult offenders. He developed the first adolescent sex offender treatment program within the Tennessee Dept. of Corrections. He has also completed risk/threat assessments for school systems. Additionally, he routinely performs evaluations for the Tennessee Department of Corrections (correctional officer and TACT) as well as the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy (TLETA) and the Tennessee Fire Services and Codes Enforcement Academy (TFSCEA). He is an experienced Expert Witness in criminal, juvenile, and civil courts.
His areas of interest and expertise include Behavioral Medicine and Integrative Health, bio-pycho-social-spiritual models of human behavior, and forensic evaluation.
He performs forensic assessment and evaluation and provides Expert Witness Testimony for Shelton Forensic Solutions.
